Yeah, I stand corrected in that Breaking Away did win an Oscar for screenplay. And dramatically it is much better, but let's face it, as far as cycling content, the Little 500 is nothing compared to the Coors Classic. In Breaking Away, aside from Dave's training rides on the Masi (60 MPH on the small ring) we had only the relatively brief footage of "The Italian Race". AMF Roadmasters just don't cut it, although I have to admit I rebuilt a couple of Roadmasters for friends In The Day, much as Dave rebuilt the official race bike.
