Looking for a 5 cog Regina Freewheel with Italian threads. Prefer oro or extra. Anything similar and appropriate to late fifties early sixties italian bike will do - roughly 15-28 teeth spread prefered. not too much wear and tear - needs to be a good rider... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Memory is not perfect, and it was a long way from Regina-land to where I was riding, but I don't think I remember seeing Regina Oros until late 60s at the earliest. Heck, I don't even remember what I first saw a bike with one.

Worse, I don't remember any thread type markings on Regina FW that old. Sutherland's 2nd Ed (1977) says that English Reginas have "F.I." stamped on the back, whlie Italian have nothing stamped on them. I just looked at the ten 2-slot Regina FW in my parts box, and none of them have any markings on the back.

Feel sort of like the guy who's feeling pretty good about himself, having just been told that he's been speaking prose all his life... Never looked at my FW before, assumed that they were English since they seemed to fit whatever (except French. That much I know.). Maybe mine are all Italian. It's ok, as long as they work hard, they can be the strong, silent type. :-)
