Larry

I worked at Ringling Cycles (a Raleigh dealer) in Sarasota, Fl from 1973-1975 while in high school. I always knew the color as Blue Mink. Prior to reading this, had some mentioned to me the color of "Raleigh Pro Blue", the connection to Blue Mink would not have been automatic. I never knew the color as Pro Blue. Granted south Florida in the '70's was a bit isolated. Also in reference to the Raleigh jersey, I have a white Raleigh jersey with red sleeves and black and yellow stripes that I got from the shop in '73. "RALEIGH" is embroidered on the black stripe which is above the yellow stripe. As it was "silky" we always thought of them as track jerseys as opposed to road jerseys which were wool with pockets.
