Subject: [CR] Bicycles for sale - mine

Well gang, this crappy economy is forcing me to pass on some of my good friends. I have the following for sale:

1. 1968/69 Raleigh Competition. $700/best offer plus shipping

This bike is in beautiful condition. I took it apart down to the bare frame and spent close to 20 hours refurbishing it. New tires and tubes, cables, housing, brake pads; fresh grease in all bearings; frame saver inside the tubes; new bar tape; freshly waxed frame. Nothing needed. Jump on and ride.

57 cm seat and top tube, measured center to center. 90 mm reach stem. 42 cm wide bars. 27 inch wheels; Super Champion Gentleman rims with new Panaracer Pasela tires. Suntour ARX derailleurs with retro friction shifters. 170 Zeus cranks with 52/42 rings. Weinmann center pull brakes. NOS Bluemels frame pump. Green paint is deep and lustrous, but the down tube and top tube decals are faded. Nice hand detailing on seat stay caps, and of course, beautiful chromed Nervex lugs. Brooks Pro saddle cantle plate is stamped 68.

2. 1978 or so Medici Gran Turismo frame and fork $400/best offer plus shipping.

Beautifully made Medici Touring frame and fork, plus Medici branded (black) stem and handlebar. Possibly made by either Rob Roberson or Brian Baylis. Lovely, fork with flat crown, and very sexy long scalloped seat stay caps.

48 cm seat tube, 52 cm top tube, center to center measurements. Will accept 700c or 27” wheels.

Paint is not original. Frame was repainted with extra paint from a custom paint job when I was at Ibis in the early 90’s. I do have a set of decals that go with the frame, if the new buyer chooses to repaint the bike to it’s original color. This is a frame and fork only; no headset, bottom bracket or any other parts included.

3. 1975 (?) Italvega Nuovo Sport $100 plus shipping

All original, this Italvega is not the top of the line, nor a beauty queen, but for a serious Italvega collector, this would be an interesting addition. The bike is rideable and would look pretty good with a cleaning and polishing. 61 cm seat tube, 59 cm top tube, 27” wheels. Steel cottered cranks.

4. Schwinn World Voyageur $700/best offer plus shipping

22 1/2” (or 57 seat tube x 57 top tube) frame made in Japan in 1973 or 1974. Completely original and rideable as is. Very low miles. Would gleam with a good cleaning and polishing.

5. 1960's Italian road bike $100 plus shipping

This unknown brand bike (my guess is Atala), probably made in Northern Italy sometime in the early 1960’s, would be an interesting addition to someone’s bicycle collection. Very all original condition. This bike is rideable as is but needs a saddle and would benefit from a cleaning and polishing. Very pretty light blue with contrasting dark blue in the lug cut outs. 55 cm seat tube, 57 cm top tube. 700c wheels. 100 mm stem reach. Steel cottered cranks. Gian Roberts derailleurs, hubs, shift levers

Photos available to those who are interested in purchasing.

More later. Thanks for the bandwidth.
