Subject: [CR] Nervar Triple crank

I just received three 36T Nervar triple inner chainrings that Kevin Kruger had outed to the list recently. I had three Nervar outer triple rings that I had not even realized were for a triple until Kevin outed his rings.

The Nervar triple was a very unusual setup. The outer ring, which is compatible with TA Cyclotourist arms, is drilled at two different circles for inner rings, the larger at the unique 128 BCD used by the 5-arm Nervar Star. The smaller circle looks close to the Stronglight mod 99 86 BCD circle.

But while the outer circle has typical 10 mm bolt holes, the inner circle has a clearly smaller hole size. The triple version of the Stronglight 49 crank (or actually the outer ring) is also drilled for two different smaller rings, but I think the Stronglight used the same bolt hole size for both circles.

Receiving the Nervar inner rings today, I compared against a Stronglight mod 99 ring. The bolt holes actually line up -sort of. The outer edges of the smaller Nervar holes line up with outer edges of the larger Stronglight holes. But the BCD of the centers of the holes is just slightly larger for the Nervar ring. The Nervar looks like perhaps 88 BCD, or maybe as large as 90 BCD. I have three editions of Sutherland's and none mentions this ring.

I was hoping that TA Cyclotourist chainring bolts will fit this ring. Trying some, the TA bolts will almost fit the hole, but will not go all the way in. It's so close though, I think just a tiny bit of filing will make it work. Anyone on the list have a fully configured Nervar triple like this? Were the bolt heads just fractionally smaller than TA?
