Subject: [CR] Finally correct seat post size +WTB

Hi all - so I finally figured out the correct inner diameter of the seat tube on the mystery frame - (see http://askrobdaily.blogspot.com for pics)

Anyway - had though 26.2 and 26.4- and then had others - the opening on the seat tube is slightly bent, so it was tough to determine - so in typical fashion, I bought a bunch of seat tubes and started stuffing them in to figure out which is right - 26.8 is the winner...

So -- here's the thing - What is appropriate to a 1959 bike (is this is actually from that year) but assuming it is - What would we have used in 59 - and does anyone have one to pass on to a good home?

Also - looking for a saddle - or someone to renovate the saddle I have (like a brooks, but an italian brand from the fifties, or thereabouts) Broken rail, not sure yet abt the leather, will be arriving by courier from southern italy in a few weeks.

As always - thanks for your input and help - has been thus far an invaluabe education -and waaaay too much fun.
