I don't remember the Bendix kick-back hubs ever appearing on road bikes, whether Varsities or others.

I ride a Varsity and Continental, '76 and '62, respectively (love those

1-piece cranks).

The 32lb Conti' mimics a real road bike with it's alloy bits, tubular fork and dt shifters, but I'm not sure if I will ever bring up the 38lb Varsity again on this list. I did ride 30+ miles on it today, as well as on Friday, even passing riders at 47.7mph (per Garmin) WITHOUT PEDALING.
