There was a "hole in the wall" bike shop, occupied an old gas station, here in the early 70's. Among other stuff they sold Crescents. They had a SS Crescent. As I recall, it was not particularly light and it had another trait I believe many Crescents had.....A miserable amount if toe clip overlap with the front wheel. I was actually contemplating a different Crescent, 531 frame tubes, but it actually felt dangerous to ride because of the overlap. I remember it being a bright orange color, really nice and bright.
