My name is Michael Howard. I started building frames back in the early seventies. My first job was with the original Masi California operation in Carlsbad, CA. Worked with Brian Baylis,Mario Confente and of course old man Masi himself. At the age of 19 Brian Baylis and I started Wizard Cycle Co. Then back to Masi after Masi and Mario Confente parted ways, Brian and I went back to run the operation. Eventually moved on and spent 17 years running Medici Bicycle Co. with Gian Simonetti. Gian and I purchased the company around 1996 and called it Simo Cycles. As many of you already know I then had a complete meltdown (drug and alcohol abuse). Just got out of prison last November and am proud to say back to my old dependable self. Clean and sober for 7 plus years.
