John - I like those Suntour pullies as well, they are very smooooth and as you say shift very nicely. For those who consider it sacridge to mix parts of Japanese manufacture with Italian steel, there was a later Campagnolo C-Record pulley that had ball bearings in it too, and can be picked up cheep on eboy.

In fact, a great hop - up for a Nuovo derailleur is to install these gray C-record pulleys, the Super Record plate with improved shape, Super titanium bolts top and bottom, and replace the critical 810/1a plastic bushing that is the key to smooth shifting (I have a small stash of these rare parts).
