oops, as someone pointed out, i missed the "BB" in the original post. i was referring to the headsets.

the edco BB has two adjustable cups which allow fine tuning of the chainline, fwiw. it also has sealed bearings and alloy cups.

the alloy lockrings on the edco will scar if you abuse them with your lockring tool. if you plan on removing/reinstalling your BB a lot, i'd recommend something else.

in my experience there is no significant functional/operational difference between the SR and the edco. i think it comes down to an aesthetic or financial choice. the NR is steel and is another sort of thing.

Anyone care to comment on the various and sundry differences of an Edco Competition BB and Headset vs Campy NR and SR?? (i.e. functionality, durability, ease of repair and adjustment, "value", etc.)
