Gosh, wouldn't the only on-topic helmets be of the leather "hair-net" variety or perhaps those solid Bell items from the first generation of fiberglass lids for cyclists? Hard to imagine members of the CR list wearing anything else. As an aside, in Denmark and Sweden the go-to-work cyclists tend to look down there noses at adults wearing helmets (and spandex) while astride a bicycle. They keep reminding me that Americans, instead of wrapping their heads in plastic, should do something about all the unsafe car drivers we apparently have. Perhaps our current economy will help in that regard. Not that I'm anti-car mind you; my Raleighs, Fuji and Lotus share the garage with a Bugeye sprite.
