That looks like a King of Mercia to me. Definitely a frame worth a repaint. Of course I don't think Mercian every made a bike that wasn't worth saving from the dump, unless an individual frame had been damaged beyond reasonable repair.

\r?\n> Good day all,

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Saved from the dump. I like to think that was where this

\r?\n> frame was headed.

\r?\n> So here it is, in very nice shape, except for the many rust

\r?\n> spots and a few

\r?\n> tiny dings, and something that could be called a dent (on

\r?\n> the right hand

\r?\n> chainstay).

\r?\n> So, even though the paint is in most places very nice (like

\r?\n> all Mercian

\r?\n> paint jobs), I think the rust spots make a renovation

\r?\n> necessary. Funny,

\r?\n> because the Reynolds decal already says

\r?\n> 'Renovated'. So probably Mercian

\r?\n> already renovated this frame, probably in the mid-80s.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Size of the frame is 55,5 cms c-t seattube, 55,5 c-c

\r?\n> toptube, chainstays are

\r?\n> a long 435 mms, wheelbase is about 102 cms. I should

\r?\n> probably convert all of

\r?\n> this to inches, but hey ..

\r?\n>

\r?\n> I'm asking 70 usd for the frame and fork. Shipping to

\r?\n> the US is 95 usd

\r?\n> (Priority, insured, trackable). Usually the package of a

\r?\n> frame weighs in at

\r?\n> about 6,5 kgs, with the added protection I use. If I can

\r?\n> get the weight down

\r?\n> below 5 kgs (by leaving the frame more or less unprotected

\r?\n> in the box),

\r?\n> shipping is 50 usd. But I can only be sure about that after

\r?\n> I've done all

\r?\n> the packing.
