Subject: [CR] 48 hole rims

In the late 70s - 80s, most of us used 48 hole rims on our tandems. This was before the era of wide availability of deeper section clincher rims, and it was about the only way to get longevity for our touring wheels. I think you will find that specialty dealers such as Tandems East and Tandems Ltd. still have decent stocks, particularly in 700c.

The funny thing is that I gave a pair to a friend a few months ago, not seeing any further use for them myself. I could check if he's interested in selling the pair.
