Subject: [CR] Stucchi Came Today!

Today the Stucchi Track bicycle I purchased from milan was waiting for me tonight at the front door. I haven't gotten into the nitty gritty of it yet, but did do a quick rundown. First impression is that it's older than I though. 1950's or 40's perhaps.

Components I've identified so far:

Magistroni Crank Arms Magistroni Headset F.B. Hubs Fiamme Rims Gimpiemme Dual Sprint pedals with cut cages Reg Toe Clips Record Toe Straps Pirelli Tires

The bars that came with it are 1980's 3ttt. I also think the rims are not from the original build, they are fiamme tubulars with a square silver label and a "hard silver" decal. Shouldn't they have been the oval label rims? Also not sure about the pedals. They are definitely Gipiemme Dual Sprints, the ends of the cages have been cut. Also, not sure about the saddle. It's got an oval on the side so could be an older brooks, but any markings have been warn away. The cantle plate is black and the rivets are silver.

Looking for a bit of advice here as well. I need to find a set of period correct handlebars and a stem. I have a set of Phillipe Steel track bars and matching stem that would work, but I would really like something Italian, any suggestions.

Also, what would be the correct pedal for this bike?

I won't get into age questions yet until I can take some detailed pictures and go over the bike with a fine tooth comb.

Here are a couple pics for the time being.
