OTOH, when my 5 or so year old Blackburn floor pump died, they had me mail it back to them and they replaced it with the newer version. Lifetime warranties are good! Plus I know it is heresy but I always found the handle on my Silca floor pump to be uncomfortable. Loved the chuck though.

Well, they can't. Perhaps that is why today's pumps aren't made as we ll and the LBS will tell you up front that spares for your new pump are not available. Just bought a new floor pump a few weeks ago.
