Hi Guy, Performing a Bikelist archives search...

http://search.bikelist.org/

...for everything within the following parenthesis, but not including them: ("mounting" and "tubular"), resulted in (including Jerry Moos' new response to your inquiry, which I have yet to read) 377 posts with those two words somewhere in the body or subject line.

<http://search.bikelist.org/?SearchString=%22mounting%22%20and%20%22tubular% 22>

By using the quotations before and after each word, where they are separated by the word (and) ... it tells the system to find posts containing those keywords, written in ANY order or location in the post. If you neglect to use this neat trick and simply write the phrase: (mounting tubulars), you will find posts that contain only that exact phrase, in that order, as written. Obviously, that would significantly reduce matching results.

One poster might ask 'How do you mount a tubular tire?', while another may write it like you did in your subject line, as 'Mounting tubulars', etc. Therefore, if you modify each key word in different ways, you will likely turn up different results. So, a similar search for: ("mounting" and "tubulars") again, omitting the parenthesis, produces 244 matching posts.

The archives are chock full of people's methods, ideas, and noted hassles associated with mounting a tubular tire. Good luck ... and enjoy!

It's been over 20 years since I used tubular tires. Does anyone have hints, directions, or links to videos on how to properly prep and mount a tubular tire to a rim using cement? ? Thanks in advance. ? Guy Taylor Anaheim, CA? USA
