... where and what is the serial number? I just don't recall seeing the Evelyn Hamilton marque or builder Fred Pedrick on the Classic Lightweights list of serial number schemes.

I'm crossing my fingers you'll find the serial number on this frame's left rear dropout, and four digits, with the last two digits the year. Probably not, but worth asking as I try to identify a 1940s frame with those same, common stays and lugs.
