The badged Simplex posts with integrated clamp were designed for normal round cross-section steel rails. The aluminum railed Ideale saddles used "I beam" rails that were much deeper in the vertical direction. The Al saddles will not even come close to fitting the badged posts. They used straight posts with a special Ideale clamp made to fit the AL rails. I now have three of the Ideale AL railed saddles.
