My name is Ben Butler - longtime reader, first-time contributor from Brooklyn NY. Proud owner of a 76 Paramount Touring, a Schwinn World Voyageur bought from Dale, and most recently a beat-up Durifort Bertin track bike.
I recently acquired a "Dactyl" French racing saddle, nearly identical in profile to a small-rivet Brooks Professional or Ideale 52 or 80 (deep side skirt, steel rails, bag loops) and exhaustive internet searching has turned up no information on the brand. It seems to be of decent quality - "Croupon" stamped leather that's 2-ply under the top. Does anybody know anything about this brand?
