If you ever buy a meal at a Subway sandwich shop, look carefully at the old NYC subway maps that are printed on their walls. They've interleaved a bunch of old maps - from different train lines, so things are mixed up - but if you look carefully, you will see the line that goes through Washington Heights into the Bronx... and next to the 225th Street station you will see an oval printed on the map with the label "Velodrome".

Finding this map on the wall always makes my outings to purchase sandwiches that much more exciting.
