Ken,

Binder ears can almost always be put back to the original location, or close to it, using the method you describe. The deal is, one would want to address the origin of the problem sooner or later if the bike is going to be useful in the long run. Again, can be fixed using fire and brass.

I noticed this nice old Belgian frame on Ebay, a '50s Marcel Kint # 360152395424. Looking at the pictures, it seems that the right seat lug binder bolt ears is pushed in to the left. How serious does this problem look? I suppose I could gently lever it back with a big screwdriver ...

The geometry is just what I've been looking to test out.
