In mid 1960's. in Japan. The Weinmann brakes calipers were very popular and respected.

In late 60's YOSHIGAI METAL WORKS (known as DIA-Compe) must have an agreement with Swiss Weinmann, they made the exact same mold sidepull as well as centerpull calipers, of course all levers. Also, they sold special side pull caliper adjusting tool stamped as "DIA-WEINMANN".

Does anyone know how Japanese DIA-COMPE was connected with the SWISS people?
