Contact Phil Wood directly or check with your LBS for some help on this. I do not know anything about tandem drive trains, but I'm sure that the different spindles feature different tapers (Shimano vs, Campi vs. ???) or offsets, like the Phil hubs.

In any case, Phil Wood knows how to fix your problem. (I'm still using my original 1975 PW Stronglight/TA BB, which has only been in once for new bearings in 35 years...)
