Subject: [CR] Rusty (or cosmetically challenged) Record RD needed

Having recently acquired a a second pattern Record FD from Hilary, I now need a user grade Record rear derailleur of like age to fit on my 1960's Harry Quinn cyclocross bike. It is currently wearing a somewhat later drivetrain in the form of a cheap and cheerful (and bombproof) Triplex stamped steel FD and a Nuovo Record RD and needs to be dialed back as appropriate. If any of you folks have one that is functional but not pristine, I'd be very appreciative. It will be ridden (and probably raced) so while sloppy pivots/bushings won't work, missing plating and some rust won't matter in the least.

Should anyone think that the Record won't work over a 13-26t freewheel and a 46/38t chainset, let me know that so I can scheme up a plan B.

Thanks for digging through the bins, Charlie

p.s. Hilary has been offering a lot of very nice parts and frames to the CR list at friendlier prices than just attributable to current exchange rates. A colleague at work (lurking CR listmember Chris Schultz) just received a nice, if patinated, F.W. Evans from him and is quite pleased. Thanks, Hilary!
