Michael:This is indeed a very interesting frame. Have you measured the diameter of the seat tube & down tube? I am guessing they are smaller in diameter (25.4 mm?). What size seat post does it use? I remember talking pictures of similar (but not the same) bikes at the New York bike show in the early 1980s. I think there were quite a few limited production time trial bike efforts done in the Colnago workshop at that time. I am guessing this was not necessarily a "production model" as we think of the current mode at Colnago. DaleDale BrownGreensboro, North Carolina, USA-----Original Message-----From: michael D'Arcy <dorchaidhe@hotmail.com>To: classicrendezvous@bikelist.orgSent: Sat, 16 May 2009 5:22 pmSubject: [CR] Help needed to identify pre-1983 Colnago TT frame.Hello, I have a most unusual Colnago TT frame. I have put some pictures here; http://www.flickr.com/photos/34526616@N05/ I contacted Colnago but they only had the time to tell me that it was built over 30years ago. Seems Ernesto and co. are rather busy. I have seen 2 others similar toit, but thay did not have the sloping top tube or the low seat stays. There is also an interesting picture from the Colnago 3àth anniversary catalogue; http://www.trafiltubi.com/ima/TT/GilCoColnagoSaronni.jpg The TT bike at the bottom left is almost identical. but neither the top tube nor the rear stays curve. My question is then, has anyone seen this model before? or know anything moreabout it? I would be extremely grateful since I have been looking around for a good while now.
