Hi Amir, As stated and seen on your pics Jwis is a abbrevation for Johann Winklhofer und Söhne. The company is still producing their products in Munich. Winklhofer was also one of th first producer of complete bikes in Bavaria. His venue later grew in the Wanderer company which extended in building bikes, motorcycles, typewriters, cars and even heavy machinery. Wanderer bikes were highly regarde in Germany before and after WW II. The Wanderer company still exists producing machinery, Iwis is still producing chains, but to my knowledge just for motorbikes and industrial purposes. The bike chains are regarded as hig quality, I have one or two NOS ones in a nice copper finish and to my opinion they are as good as Sedis. Regards

Has anybody ever heard of JWIS bicycle chains?

The old bike shop that had Sedis chains now only has these.

They were made in Germany and, according to the owner, lasted much loger than Sedis when used on utility bikes.
