Re: [CR] Seized Post, Parts - Coca-cola and other fluids ?

(Example: Production Builders:LeJeune)

I had a post that was stuck tight and repeated application of Kroil , (let it work overnight) heat from a propane torch (carefully to not burn paint) and a slide hammer attachment to Vice grips did the trick. The slide hamer screws into the spot of the adjustment bolt on the pliers. A direct pull is better than the extreme torque that is created when twisting with a cheater,IMHO. For alloy posts, the post can be chilled with freon or other aresol that comes out cold, sometimes that is enough to get the thing unseazed.

Good luck, DAvid Cowie Oregon
