Dear List:

As we pack for our various journeys to Leesburg, the lugged promised land, no doubt we are noticing various odd items on our bikes.  So it is with me:  on the early white 60cm Nobilette I'm auctioning off, there are a few corrections from the last announcement:

Pictures:  It was pointed out to me that the pictures on Flickr were private and not viewable.  It took me a while to figure out how to undo that.  The pics should now be visible.  If you can't see them, email and I'll try to send some as attachments.

Cranks:  The pictures show some later Suntour Aero cranks.  These were replaced by 1st generation Suntour Superbe 175mm cranks.  These were the Sugino made fluted arm style.  A set of Superbe road pedals were also added:  the gold Superbe labels are visible but are worn.

Derailleurs:  The derailleurs are silver Cyclones with a short cage rear.  This was the hot set up when I was a wee lad, as the Cyclones were 10 or 20 grams lighter than the Superbes.  None of us could understand why the higher priced stuff was heavier:  thoughts such as shifting accuracy and durability were strangers to us:  weight was all.

Headset:  I didn't specify a headset, and in fact there is a Stronglight A9 (in silver) on the bike.  I finally gave up on finding a Superbe headset that didn't have a 27.0 crown race.  You can continue the quest if you win the bike.

Otherwise, all of the rest of the announcement is reasonably accurate.  I intend to have the bike available for exhaustive examination pre auction.
