Bob-

Its been a gazillion years since I was last in Longtown (87ish). Where is/was High Gear? Who were/are the owners?

I worked at Bob's Cycles (aka Longmnont Cycles in later years) on Main a couple of blocks down from the Trojan Theatre (bet thats gone too) in the early-mid 70s. The mere thought of Longmont brings back some very cool memories.

P.S. the only other shop that was a real "threat" to our high-end customer base at the time was the Spoke up on the Hill in Boulder....thats not the "pro" shop you speak of is it?

The items of interest to CR list members are probably the shop tools and perhaps some inventory. The store was pretty well cleaned out on Sat. and Sun.. Buzz is taking closed silent bids on a Campy tool kit in it's wood case and a Phil Wood spoke cutter/threader.
