One final certificate, the Charles Brown Award, will be presented for the homeliest, funkiest, strangest, ugliest, or just plain weirdest bike in the show. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I was honored to win this prize last year, and you are fortunate that I will not be able to attend and defend my honor this year. So, for those who weren't there, I will demonstrate how tough the competition is: I won for my Alenax, the offspring of a one-night stand involving an inexpensive bike with safety levers and a stair-stepper. The pedals don't go around, but get stepped on, and the other end of the lever has notches for 4 different "gears." It's even possible to get the two feet in two different gears...

This beast was ridden by many in the hotel parking lot. Those who had the most fun may have been the more lubricated.

Through the years, I've endeavored to set a really, really low/high standard for this competition, with other relics such as a Genuine slimy-limy 531DB Sears, and a Genuine Sears Ted Williams. This year, since I'll be absent, you might even be able to win with a Schwinn Varsity - if it's beat up enough and has the original saddle and safety levers. :-)
