I bought a new Schwinn Prologue (funny bike) with a 24" front wheel back in 1986 or '87. Raced it for 2 yrs. and retired it. Tange Prestige fully lugged and very comfortable even on 100 K rides. During the late 90's I swapped to a 650 fork -- to get more options of wheels. What a mistake. Much harder to steer--especially in turns. The bike angles are made for the 24" fork/wheels. Promptly went back to the 24" original set up and it is still riding fine. I know it isn't the 650 to 700 conversion you where asking about but you may experience similar characteristics. Good luck. This had never ocurred to me.  Take a TT "low profile" (or "funny bike") frame, designed for a 650c front wheel (with a 700c in back), and swap the fork with a 700c fork.  First time I ever thought of this was when I saw this Medici on eBay:

Item # 180364250922

Has anybody ever tried this conversion?  I'm wondering what kind of ride/handling it produces.
