Dear Fellow Cirque Friends,

Well, after making 10 Cirque events in a row, it has finally happened. A string of circumstances has played out in the last few weeks in such a way that even with contingency plans in place; I have not been able to get all of the necessary stars to align that will allow me to make the event this year. Just bad timing and some extra help from the depressed economy is what it took. I had my dog at the dog sitter, bought some new shoes and got a hircut, and had all the other things nearly under control when I finally realized I just couldn't afford to do this right now.

I had to scramble to finish the paint on the DeRosa that will be up for auction (even though I won't be there) while at the same time my car began acting up (slowing progress on several fronts) and I had to prepare for a major mechanical inspection of my new building so they can install insulation and then hang the drywall. Working with the building inspector here is a real pain in the behind (yeah, we have one of "those type" of guys). We finally passed yesterday.

Also underway are 3 frames and 3 major restoration jobs that I do not want to lose my momentum on. It takes me a while to get rolling; these shows and trips upset my routine tremendously. Frankly, at this time, I can't afford to take time off spending money when I need to be here getting some things done and making some. I'm still a ways behind on account of the time and money it took to produce the SD Custom Bike Show earlier this year.

So, I'm very sorry I'm not going to make it this time. Next year I'm sure all of my ducks will be in a row. This year has been full of distractions from the show and my construction project. The nation's money woes don't help, as it trickles down to me. Looking forward to things in general improving REAL SOON! I hope everyone has a great time (I know you will), and the vat of tar and feathers you all have saved for me won't go to waste!
