Father's Day Greeting all,

I mentioned recently that I had come across a Colnago for my son. Several of you helped this project by purchasing some of the parts that came off the bike. Thanks for that.

After trying several configurations for fit, the frame is just not working. So now it's gotta move along as well, and it's way too big for me. So I am offering it here before listing it on the World's Largest Flea Market.

It measures 60c center to top of seat tube, 58 center to center, Top tube measures 58c to my eye. I think it's a 1981 as per previous owner's info when I bought it. It has one set of water bottle bosses, 126 rear spacing, pretty simple and unadorned decals, clover cutout in bb shell, fully chromed fork, curved blades and clover in sloping crown. Seat stay caps are not fluted, more semi round at the attachment to the seat lug with the name Colnago spelled out along the cap. It's a neat egg shell blue color. Pics upon request.

The bad: It has a squish in the top of the top tube, maybe 5 or 6 inches long, between the two cable guides, as though something leaned hard on it. It doesn't affect the ride, and I hardly noticed it when the cables were installed (the seller pointed it out to me before I purchased). Bike rides great, isn't twisted or anything that I can tell, and is maybe repairable without replacing the tube (I don't know). But it's a great rider as is. It has clear protective tape over the head tube decal, and has most of a Columbus SL frame decal.

Value? Don't know, but thought I would post it for $500 obo on ebay. So, here, I'll say $400. It's gotta fund/help fund its replacement, so I'm tossing it out to you fine folks to see if someone is itching for a rider like this.

Thanks!
