Eddie Albert observed of round fork blades: <snip> >> Not rare at all especially on 20's - 50's bikes. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The oddest set I have are on my Funkmeister Special: On the Sears Ted Williams Sport Racing (and older J.C.Higgins) built by Puch, the fork blades are round, but carefully indented on the insides for tire and fender clearance for really, really, big tires. Just like chainstays. Of course, the fake two-plate crown is chromed, for extra funk points.
I do not in any way imply that my Sears is equivalent to a Drysdale, Durkopp, or other thoroughbred in Eddie's stable.
