Jay Sexton asked:

"What's the smallest inner chainring you have been able to use with a N.R. front derailleur????With a 50 tooth large ring, for example?" ------------------- My 1978 Colnago is mounted with a NR triple running 48/41/32. It has a NR front and rear derailleurs and shifts flawlessly. I tightened the spring in the rear derail. and played around with the chain length. I think the trick is to use a freewheel that does not have an extremely large cog on the low end. This bike has a Regina America 6 (13-24).
