Subject: [CR] Peugeot baby racer redo

Here is a link to a Flickr site where I have posted some images of the two Peugeot baby-racers that I built a few years back for my son & daughter. They were both pretty extensive jobs. When they were created, I had completed just a couple of years earlier the 1999 Paris- Brest-Paris on board my already-old Peugeot PF-40 randonneur bike. In our stable was a matching mixt frame Pug to my Randonneur bike, and where my bike had the script "Gentleman" on the top tube, the Mixt frame bike had "Lady" on the top of the seat tube. So the project was to match the adult bikes with the junior bikes.

Through the amazing cavern that is Bicycle Specialties inventory of old French parts, almost everything for the conversion was found. Some of the really sweet tidbits included the 24" diameter Pettit Jean fenders, and the upper head tube lug for the mixt frame conversion of the little ladies bike. Mike's shop did all the brazing and painting.

Sadly, the kids have grown well past being able to ride these bikes now, and I'd like to pass them on to someone else (or two someone else's!) who may be able to make loving use of them. Please contact me off list if you might be interested. I'm asking $500 for the boys bike and $750 for the girls (considering the much more extensive work involved in it's creation). The usual thing, I thought I'd try to the converted before venturing onto Ebay.

Cheers,
