Hi list, I believe the discussion of the Colnago has become more of a polarization of differing camps regarding "collectability " {and implied value} of a given bike. I think it best we keep in mind that collectors come in many flavors. Some are interested only in mint original bikes {investment grade}, others want perfection in another direction, full nos panto, flawless deep chrome  , paint such as few are capable of {and far beyond any 70's production bike} etc. Others myself included don't mind , and in fact may prefer a reasonable patina, and others yet are looking for a classy user in the sort of condition that won't cause the earth to stop revolving if someone knocks it over at a rest stop.  All are collectors, and the Colnago in question will find a willing group of fans in at least a few of the categories of collectors out there. It is a very desirable model, in very nice condition. It won't fit the bill for many of the subgroups of collectors,, but it would be more than welcome in my modest stable. I am sure the eventual purchaser will  find it to be money well spent.  Greg Lone Langley B.C.
