Events, in a nutshell:

SATURDAY: Vintage track riding / racing at the velodrome, registration opening about 9 am, cycling beginning at 10 am, along with bike show and swap meet on the track's infield. Ends at 5pm, but stay for official racing of Nastrack 3 Day action, where vintage exhibition track racing is said to be interspersed between official races, followed by an outdoor showing of 'Chasing The Wind', the movie documentary about the rich history and heritage of Detroit's Wolverine Sports Club. *** The International Velodrome at Bloomer Park (IVBP), in Rochester Hills, MI is located in Bloomer Park at the north end of John R. Road, north off Avon Road, where you drive straight into the city park ($5 entry fee, or season pass), and to the track at the back of the main lot.

SUNDAY: Vintage road time trial, 10 mile challenge (just for fun), 9 laps of a relatively closed, 1.2 mile out and back in Stony Creek Metro Park, at the West Branch Picnic Area, parking lots A & B. Time trial begins at 8 am. At 10 am, following the exciting conclusion of the time trial (where Merckx starts second to last, just before Coppi) will be an approximate 10 mile road ride, starting from the same parking lots, moving at a conversation pace along the main drive that traverses around Stony Creek. *** Stony Creek Metro Park, in Shelby Twp?, MI is located north of 26 Mile Road, between Dequindre and Shelby roads. Once in the park ($6 entry fee, or season pass), go to the West Branch parking leg, and then into the first pair of lots on your right.

After the road ride, come on back to the track, for more bike show and swap meet activity (especially if it rains tomorrow, Saturday), and watch the official track racing, beginning at 1pm.

Bring a bike to show, bring a road bike to ride or race, bring a track bike to ride or race, bring bikes or parts to sell or swap, bring cash to buy schwag, but most of all .. please bring yourself for the fun!
