I don't have a WJ account but I sent a modest donation... lord knows I've spent enough happy hours browsing there to justify helping out.? I just wish it could be more.
For those who do have WJ accounts and haven't donated yet, lest me suggest this (if indeed it has not already been suggested)... assuming the required funds to recover the drive cannot be accumulated and the site has to be recreated from scratch, ask yourself how much time it would take to reassemble and edit your photos, upload them, recreate the captions, etc., then multiply those hours by minimum wage, or whatever you might feel your time is worth.? I would think that this might be a good amount to base your donation on, what do you think?? Just a suggestion or food for thought, not trying to browbeat anyone...? just a reminder that a generous donation now could save you a bit of work down the road.
