I wonder if you could run a drilled chrome lugged Soma flat crown "Track" fork on your Olmo.  MIght be a quick fix.  Either that or a 1" threaded Kinesis fork.  Soma: http://www.outsideoutfitters.com/p-3618-soma-chrome-lugged-track-fork.aspx Kinesis: http://www.benscycle.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id$18&zenidŽcae58b56fad2326b023a0090e7463b

There is also the option of calling a shop located near me in Brooklyn, NY called R&A Cycles.  I know they have a back stock of non panto'd Columbus chrome forks as well as a graveyard of NOS parts from the 80's and 90's. Problem is you just have to get their attention...which is like pulling teeth.  Best to call during the week, as the place is crawling with dentists buying Cervelos on the weekends.  Wouldn't hurt to call and ask:

Hello all,         I recently purchased an Olmo road frame, thinking late 70's, without a fork. After searching every bike store in Portland OR, my legs are tired, but I still have no fork. My frames a 57cm, which means I need a steer tube length of 7.5 to 7.75 inches. Any light (preferably columbus) fork will be considered. My paint job is in no way NOS, so it's ok if there're scratches on the fork as well. Oh yes, for a 700c wheel, threaded. Even any leads would be appreciated at this point.

Cheers!
