There was no pre-Arnie Nashbar Bike Warehouse. Arnie founded Bike Warehouse, later changing the name to Bike Nashbar, then more recently selling out to Perfomance Bicycles. I don't know if Arnie has continued any association with operation since the sale. In the early 70's I was a member of The Outspokin' Wheelman, an LAW club in Youngstown, OH, of which Arnie was a co-founder. Arnie was then running what would later become Bike Warehouse out of his garage. Nevertheless, Arnie evidently was large enough or maybe well connected enough to get dealer pricing on Schwinn World Voyageurs, a now somewhat legendary bargain early Japanese Schwinn with a DB CrMo frame and high-end Japanese components, including several original DuraAce bits. This bike was made for only one year, can't remember if that was 1973 or 1974. The World Voyageur was a bargain even at retail, but Arnie got about half a dozen club members these bikes at an even better price. As I recall they were all international orange, although this bike also came in lemon yellow and sky blue.
