thanks, team! i have the bike at my house now! my boyfriend is fixing it up for his friend who found it. it is very neglected, signs of a minor crash, ie : road rash on pedals and brake levers, one flat old sew up the other missing. frame looks fine, no ripples or cracks! has some significant rust on the top tube, sadly. i think it will cleanup nicely tho. fiame gold lables and full super record. i love the chromey flat fork crown, and it have lots of other niceties. i'm trying to convince him the pedals are trashed and have offered to give him a nice spruce japanese pair. ;-) but the guy wants to ride it! he has no vintage steel bike and is beginning to understand the virtues of it. i attribute this to the enthusiasm of the group, that and my boyfirend's and my attempts to get parts out of him. he is a tall athletic young guy, a natural on a bike, so he may do well with a crit style bike. it may inspire his inner hot dog actually. i'll post
a few photos before and after. at the moment i am out of cameras... -dw 415-298-7000 (w) 415-596-6064 (c)

\r?\n> Sounds

\r?\n> like an A-D "Ultima" - their Super Record-equipped

\r?\n> top-of-the line bike that (according to their catalogue) was

\r?\n> assembled in an exclusive section of the A-D factory and

\r?\n> shipped in a special foam-lined case.

\r?\n> Hi guys,

\r?\n> a friend has found a purple A-D with chrome lugs, sew-ups

\r?\n> and campy groupo in the dump!  i have not seen the

\r?\n> thing yet myself, but was wondering if any of you care to

\r?\n> venture a guess as to the model just based on that bit of

\r?\n> info?  he is talking (foolishly, imho) of single speed

\r?\n> conversion and i would love to talk him out of it.  i

\r?\n> have a hunch it is worth more just cleaned up. who has amo

\r?\n> for me?
