Ramon Orero was from Argentina and primarily built down there. He had a shop in Nutley, NJ and would come back after spending the winter in Argentina with frames. He was a great artisan and E-Ritchie took inspiration from him. His style is his own. Soft curves, thoughtful geometry and finely finished. I remember a special built for a fellow Nutley Bicycle Club member with a black metal flake and chrome lugs that was truly a show bike. My wife has one and it is a great rider. Jamie is kind of understating his finesse relative to the times. way above the common ordinary

I think you're right about Orero being from Argentina. I don't know too much but I do know that he built bikes first under his own name, and later was one of that long line of guys who built the Paris Sport bikes for Vic and Mike Fraysse at their shop in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. The other builders were (not nessesarily in this order) Dave Molten, Mike Melton, Guiseppe Limongi and Francisco Cuevas... I always theought that Orero bikes were pretty nicely crafted.
