Subject: [CR] Early Stronglight cotterless BB

Just wanted to share this rare glimpse at a very early style Stronglight square tapered cotterless bottom bracket set in a current eBay auction.

eBay item: 170375366375

This one is stamped "LV" - the markings typically seen on early Stronglight chainrings. Axle fastens with nuts at the ends - versus the far more familiar later bolt style. We seldom see such clear views of an authentic old style Stronglight BB, probably dating from the 1930s to 1950s.

The In fact, for those interested in old French bits... French eBay seller "Rocvale" typically offers some rarely found pieces. And, best of all, Lorenzo's images have become better and better over the years and are always worth archiving to our personal velo-reference libraries.

Of course, this is a current auction, so you might actually purchase this one too. I would expect high dollar bids from some discerning International collectors. But... you never know.

Enjoy!
