Look! NOS NR pulleys, only $24 ea! :-)

And, the carcass can serve well for boat ballast, decorative trim in a fish tank, or thousands of other uses. All of which will be better than our experience with the Gran Trashmo.

But, I'm not bitter or anything. I've almost forgotten the arguments beloved spouse and I had when That Thing was mounted on our Town & Country tandem. Had stoker-shifting, because we were too poor to buy long cables. Susan would never hit the gears right when we were pacing the local racers, and I would get hot under the collar. Finally she told me to shift the **** thing myself. So, I'd reach back behind me and shift it. Almost as well as she did. Unlike Brooks saddles, the Gran Trashmo did not improve with age and use.

So, Peter, I promise not to make an offer for the Thing, and hope that I've piqued someone to figure that he (it would not be a she) can actually house-break this beast and use its incredible gear range.

And, I'll admit that I have a used one in the box with other examples of Campy's greatest hits: A Valentino, which is sort of a light gauge sheet metal offspring of the illicit coupling of a Gran Sport with a Huret Svelto. And the wonderful one-pulley Sport, with its lovely casting and absolutely zilch range. It sort of matches the "box" plunger front derailleurs in its styling, but the Sport had only a six tooth total range ("denti 16 - 22"). Bummer, eh?

Greetings---

Offered for sale is a NOS Campagnolo Gran Turismo rear derailleur.

Heavy, yes. But lovely nonetheless with its fancy red "C" and polished chromium plating. This vintage rear derailleur handles from 13-36 teeth in the rear and 36-54 on the front rings. Comes with hanger.

Circa 1971. Good for a restoration project of a Schwinn Paramount P-15 touring model, for which it was specified. Also fitted to several other high-end tourers back in the day.
