Great info Greg! That's what I love about the list. I wonder if they switched from SL to Aelle in 1980? I think the brochure I linked is from 1979 (judging by the four hole front derailleur on the Saronni bike). This Colnago brochure indicates that the frame of the Saronni is constructed of SL tubing. The Saronni frameset I have is SL and weighs exactly the same as a Super (about 1950 grams sans fork). Was the RDV discontinued by 1980? I wonder what the price point was on the RDV compared with the Saronni. Like the Saronni, it is built with Nuovo rather than Super Record components, so perhaps a similar promotional scheme?
