While doing a bike tour in Tuscany last September, we visited a bike shop, and I inquired if they had any older steel racing bikes.  The owner smiled, and told me that she has a Colnago bike that was given to her by Beppe himself, further explaining it was one of his personal bikes.

Asking if I could see the bike, she said that it was at her home, and told her husband to go and get it - he didn't look too happy to be interrupted and assigned the task of getting the bike!

A few minutes later he was back with the bike.  Definitely a top-of-the-line model, equipped with a Campagnolo Anniversary group.  It was a Colnago decalled frame, not one of the SARRONI labeled models.

Now before anyone asks, the bike was not for sale nor understandably was the shop owner not interested in selling it.
