Jon, we are working on the same project! I am presently finishing restoration of a 64 cm 1969 Peugeot PX-10 frameset (easy to date even stripped as it has a 1969 cycle registration sticker on it) to replace by 59 cm one. 1968 frames had a oil port on the underside of the bb.

I like the way you have documented yours... according the date stamping on the "69" pattern Simplex Criterium derailleur, "2 70" yours was probably assembled in February-March 1970. There apparently was a large consignment of PX-10s for the U.S. market then as I've found a number of others on eBay and Craigslist with similar coding.

The "Huret" pattern Simplex shifters that Jerry mentions are a bit of a puzzle.. 1968 (and bona fide dated ones) had what we associate as being the "Criterium" shifters but with a different Simplex logo on the black plastic. And I've seen 1969 ones with both this and "Huret" style. Both are rare and I'll have to content myself with a plain old 1972 one until I can find one of the earlier patterns.
