A 5-pin hollow Duprat came back from the platers this week. I had it deplated so that I could inspect it and polish it prior to re-plating.

I was hoping to find some clue into how it was manufactured.

Instead I found out that one arm was cracked at the pedal threads and had probably undergone repair at some point.
>From the Bronze trail at the pedal end of the crank arm, it looks as if the arm had cracked and been brazed together.

Anybody out there with Duprat experience who can confirm that these kind of repairs were once made?

Anybody know how to reliably repair the cracked pedal end?
